Well, hike might be a bit of an over statement. But it was a nice 6km walk in the surroundings of Zolling and the Amper river.
Echinger Lohe

Ohh deer…
After walking along the Amper, by Thonstetten, we spotted a roe deer on our way back to the car. We almost missed it, as the grass is really high, but we saw the ears jump around and after we have been spotted, it revealed itself a bit in the high grass…
Woodchat shrike
Just outside Freising, a rare woodchat shrike has been spotted. We were out earlier this week to find it, but did not get close enough to get some good photos of it.
We try again today, while it’s still there…
We got lucky. The small, cute, woodchat shrike was sitting and enjoying the evening sun 🙂
